Arsenal is said to have reached an early agreement with Fiorentina in Serie A for the acquisition of Dusan Vlahovic for €80 million (£68.6 million).

During the 2021-22 season, the 21-year-old striker has been in excellent form with La Viola, scoring 10 goals in 12 games, including eight goals in 11 league appearances.

Over the summer, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur were both heavily connected with the Serbian attacker, but the transfer season ended with him still at Fiorentina.

However, Dusan has so far declined the club’s offer to sign a new contract, and he is anticipated to leave in January or during the summer transfer window.

Mikel Arteta’s team has struck a deal with Vincenzo Italiano’s side, according to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, with Arsenal willing to pay the Italians’ €80 million (£68.6m) asking price.

However, according to Di Marzio, the North London giants have yet to reach an agreement with the midfielder, who is also said to be a top transfer target for Juventus’ Massimiliano Allegri.

Since joining his current squad from Partizan in the summer of 2018, the towering forward has scored 39 goals and added five assists in 96 games in all competitions.
