Chelsea still in the race to sign for £50m French midfielder

Liverpool has reportedly joined a lengthy number of clubs in the search for Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni, including Chelsea.

As the Ligue 1 team prepares for a potential bidding battle, the prodigy is Europe’s newest wonderkid.

He is a talented midfielder with a lot of quality, but his market value has just risen dramatically.

Aurelien debuted at Bordeaux before being acquired by Monaco in 2020, and the 21-year-old sensation has since gone from strength to strength.

Tchouameni received his first international call-up with his country from manager Didier Deschamps in August, and he is now a regular for Les Blues.

Les Monegasques’ ace stepped up to play in the center of the field with Paul Pogba in the country’s recent Nations League victory, with N’Golo Kante isolated due to a positive COVID-19.

The competition’s semi-final and final helped to further highlight the Chelsea-linked youngster, who will be inundated with offers before the conclusion of the season.

The Reds have now joined the fray, according to Julien Laurens, with the club eager to explore a deal for him.

Manchester United, Manchester City, and Real Madrid are all believed to be interested in Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Monaco is said to be seeking £42 million to £50 million for its prized asset.
