According to transfer rumours, Guendouzi’s loan to Marseille contained an option for the French club to make the move permanent.

Matteo Guendouzi is delighted in Marseille, according to L’Equipe, and wants to stay there.

Both teams have agreed on a €11 million transfer fee, and the deal will go through unless Marseille is relegated.

Guendouzi joined Arsenal from FC Lorient in 2018 for €8 million. He was a regular starter and star under previous Gunners manager Unai Emery, and his market worth reached to €50 million on Transfermarkt at one point.

Guendouzi, on the other hand, had a falling out with Mikel Arteta, and the two were unable to reconcile due to Guendouzi’s defiant attitude.
